SECPA/SECOM Charity Golf Classic 2025

(La Junta, CO) -- Golfers are getting ready to compete again in the upcoming SECPA/
SECOM Charity Golf Classic.  The tournament is in its 38th year and is planned for July 10-12 to be played in La Junta and Rocky Ford.

SECPA CEO Kevin Brandon is excited about the annual event.  “Southeast Colorado Power Association and our Communications Subsidiary SECOM are thrilled to be hosting our 38th Annual SECPA/SECOM Charity Golf Classic. Because of the generosity of our players, sponsors, and volunteers, this tournament has been able to donate nearly $300,000 to hundreds of charitable organizations throughout Southeast Colorado over the past 38 years.”

A golfer himself, Scott Monarco, CEO of SECOM, anticipates it will be a good time.

“For nearly four decades, this incredible event has raised over $300,000 for charities throughout our service area — and we’re excited to continue the tradition! Thanks to the generosity of our players, sponsors, and dedicated volunteers, we’re able to keep this event thriving year after year. This tournament stands out as one of the best around, and we’re honored to represent SECPA and SECOM in making a lasting impact on our communities.”

The women and men in the tournament meet up on Thursday, July 10th, for a kick-off banquet where teams are selected.

There’s a dinner after the two days of play, where prizes are given out and winners are announced.
